About us

Located across from the Cathedral of St. John the Devine in the Upper West Side on Manhattan, Tartina is modern in approach and Italian in spirit and features a contemporary, chef-driven menu of fresh, seasonal rustic Italian cuisine with a notable all-Italian wine list. Menu highlights include more than a dozen fresh pastas made in-house daily, lava-stone cooked meats, variety of fish and seafood, and celebrated Italian classics with an elevated twist.

The restaurant fits our personal goal to get to the heart of Italian wine and food … simple and traditional food, prepared by hand with local, fresh ingredients and served with reasonable yet distinctive Italian wines. This is why people love eating in Italy, and we wanted to bring that experience to this upcoming neighborhood.
